Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Supporting Independence, Confidence and Everyday Living
Supported Independent Living is designed to help people with disability live as independently as possible
while receiving the support they need to achieve their goals and maintain their wellbeing.
At Connect Care Solutions, we understand that independence looks different for everyone.
What Is Supported Independent Living?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS support that assists participants who require ongoing
support with daily living activities within their home environment.
SIL funding generally covers support worker assistance and does not cover accommodation costs such as
rent, groceries, utilities, or personal expenses.
SIL can be delivered in shared living arrangements or individual settings depending on a participant’s needs,
goals, and funding.

Our Approach
We believe Supported Independent Living should be about more than simply providing care.
Our approach focuses on helping participants develop skills, build confidence, strengthen routines, and
achieve personal goals that improve quality of life.
We work collaboratively with participants, families, Support Coordinators, Behaviour Support Practitioners,
and Allied Health Professionals to ensure supports are coordinated and responsive.
